Combining mismatched chairs: the dining room trend 


If there's one trend that's been getting a lot of attention in recent months, it's mismatched chairs in the dining room. In decorating magazines or even in advertisements, it's absolutely impossible to have missed this trend. The good news is that, while some fashions are not always easy to apply at home, this one is perfectly feasible in any dining room! Here are a few tips on how to give in to the mismatched-chair trend.

Indeed, if you have a tendency to accumulate decorative objects without necessarily having them work together, it's likely to do a lot with mismatched chairs. This doesn't mean that the rest of the dining room decor should be uncluttered, but rather that it should harmonize with the central space. For example, a sideboard or china cabinet might be a good match for one of the chairs, whether in style, material or color. 

Decorative objects should also be trendy and modern. In short, it must be understood that mismatched chairs are a decorative choice, not a nonsense. To achieve this result, few tricks can be provided, as it's the overall impression of the room that will be the best indicator. If you decide to opt for a rug under the table, you'll need to be careful that the patterns don't add too much information, and above all that they match the chairs chosen. Finally, the right amount of light is obviously essential, as is the presence of plants to brighten up the space even more and make it even warmer.

Careful thought needs to be given to the different models, and the rest of the decoration needs to harmonize with them.
